I’m a little embarrassed to say it was bad coding on my part, and apparently FF and Chrome just “knew” what I was getting at, while IE was taking things literally.

With the help of my mother-in-law, who I am quite grateful for saving me the headache of figuring out what went wrong, all should look good now.  Can’t promise anything in older browsers, but the up-to-date ones should be good to go.

ArtFire is down for maintenance, so I haven’t been able to post my challenge piece for the Polymer Clay Smooshers.  I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post it again before everything gets locked down by the guildmaster in the morning, but I need to get to bed, so I’ll post a pic here for now.

It’s a pendant, made with Pardo polymer clay and cotton embroidery thread and hemp cord teased out in the mane.

I had to take a quick picture before bed so it’s not that great; I’ll need to get better ones later this weekend, especially if I manage to get this posted up on ArtFire for sale.

In a nutshell, several of guild members have placed an icon in our studios.  Starting from our guild blog, visit each of the studios and start hunting!  Who knows, you may even come across a studio that creates items that catch your eye, and maybe you’ll see something that you just have to get someone as a gift for Christmas!

Don’t I wish.  I haven’t been to the beach in a couple of years, we live too far away for it to be a frequent visit.  But I definitely want to go back sometime.  My family, which included my husband, my daughter, my husband’s mom and myself, went out to San Diego when my daughter was two and a half years old.  We visited the beach the evening we arrived, so it was my daughter’s first time seeing and stepping foot in the ocean.

She was a bit hesitant at first, and even when we went to the beach a couple days later she was still a little nervous about it.  I don’t blame her much really, it IS a big sight to see, and probably quite scary to such a little gal.

I hope we can go back again next year.  She’ll be four and a half years old, and I’m sure she’ll probably enjoy it a lot more.  She definitely loved Sea World, too!
